IPL HAIR REDUCTION
Got unwanted hair?
Want fast, affordable hair reduction?
Now you can have it!
At RENU U we can IPL away your unwanted hair. As hair has its own unique cyclic growth pattern, usually 6-8 treatments, 4 weeks apart are required to successfully treat your hairs. IPL broad band light targets the melanin pigment in your hair shaft, thereby destroying the hair and its root.
WHY DO I NEED 6-8 TREATMENTS?
It's not because we are trying to sell you more! Its all about hair growth physiology. Hair grows, sheds and re-grows in cycles at a 4 weekly rate on average. IPL can only treat hairs that are in the 'active' growth cycle, not in the shedding cycle.
About 15-20% of hairs are in the active phase at any given time and will respond to the IPL energy. Therefore about 6-8 treatments are recommended 4 weeks apart to affect the majority of hairs.
Permanent hair removal?
Many hair removal salons promote their IPL hair reduction treatments as being 'permanent hair removal'. This is incorrect and misleading. No technology has been shown to completely and permanently remove hair. Laser and IPL can result in lasting hair reduction, removing up to 90% of hairs after several treatments, but it is usually necessary to have occasional 'top-up' treatments to maintain good results. This is a fact that applies to all IPL and laser devices in all clinics.
Prices start at $30. See our price list for further information about the areas we treat.
